How We’re Protecting Our Members

Moya Financial is committed to ensuring the safety and security of our members’ accounts.

In response to the recent surge in fraudulent activities, we want to remind you of the measures we take to protect our members, and the steps you can take to protect your online accounts. This year, we’re introducing new security measures to our online banking platform, which includes strong password requirements and two-step verification soon to come.

We encourage our members to sign up for alerts on their online banking account, which monitors your account for unusual account activity and provides real-time alerts to members if any suspicious activity is detected. We also educate our members on how to safeguard their accounts, such as not sharing their personal or financial information with anyone and regularly reviewing their account statements for accuracy. Additionally, we have trained our staff on the latest tactics used by fraudsters and how to identify and respond to suspicious behavior.

Our goal is to provide our members with peace of mind, knowing that their accounts are protected.

Eligible deposits (not in registered accounts) with Ontario Credit Unions are insured up to $250,000 through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA). Eligible deposits in registered accounts have unlimited coverage through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA).
